Cornwall has long been a traditional holiday spot for sun-seeking Brits but maybe you haven’t yet considered it in terms of somewhere to go glamping.
In that case, the good news is that you can now enjoy all of the typical delights of this lovely region with the added bonus of being able to stay in a fantastic type of glamping accommodation. From stylish yurts to comfy pods and from big safari tents to other classy places to stay, the options are extensive.
Of course, none of that would really matter if there wasn’t anything to do round these parts. Thankfully, that is far from being the case. From the long, appealing coastline to the Eden Project, the welcoming towns and the open countryside, Cornwall is a region which beckons you and encourages you to have an adventurous and memorable break there. So where will you stay?
Bodmin Moor
The open expanses of Bodmin Moor make it a fine choice for anyone who wants to get out and explore the countryside. In that case, nearby May Rose Farm is a good choice of destination. This is a small and luxurious site with the emphasis on being kind to the planet. The pod accommodation here is wonderful and the time you spend outdoors checking out the farm animals and exploring the region will be rewarding as well. The Luxury Cornish Yurts site is another option well worth considering in this area. As with many of the area’s glamping destinations, the owners have managed to strike a fine balance between giving a luxurious experience and being environmentally aware at the same time.
North Cornish Coast
The northern part of Cornwall has just as much to offer as any other part of this popular holiday region. For example, if you want to go on a glamping break then the East Thorne site gives you easy access to sandy beaches and some spectacular cliffs. You are close to Bude here and the Eden Project isn’t all that far away either. Having said that, you will probably be happy to spend a lot of time in and around your fine Mongolian yurt anyway.
Wadebridge
Have you ever stayed in a Lotus Belle tent? If you haven’t then Wadebridge could be the ideal place to do this. Here, you will find the exciting Lowarth Glamping site. This is close to the Atlantic coast – which is great if you want to try your hand at surfing – but it is also close to The Lost Gardens of Helligan, Pencarrow House, Newquay and the Eden Project. Despite having all of this action close to hand you will find a peaceful haven waiting for you here.
Gorran
This delightful part of Cornwall offers gentle charms and an amazing amount of activities too. The very name of Cotna Eco Retreat will probably have dreaming of a relaxed and ecologically friendly break in a glamping site. This site has some interesting types of accommodation, with comfortable yurts and a converted barn tempting places to spend a night or two. The accommodation is based on a small organic farm and you will feel as though you are really in touch with the best nature has to offer if you stay here.
